Just thought it would be an antidote to all the hero worship musicians get because they can zip their fingers around a fretboard with unbelievable precision.
I've seen typists do this on a computer keyboard and they never seen to get any recognition. |

Hi,
I think maybe what the guy is getting at is why do we all go in for this hero worship thing?
And the assumption that the word 'mediocre' means 'bad'. And anyone who is famous who doesn't play like Jaco should be pilloried.
Can't we spotlight bass players who are average yet who play popular music that we enjoy.
Just a thought.

Even in the cases of players like Pete Wentz, they're hardly mediocre by any stretch, if they can make thousands playing their instrument. Its far more than i'll ever achieve.
