In my early teens it used to be Manowar, in my later teens and early twenties it used to be Dinosaur Jr.
But these days I can't really tell, there is so many with different qualities.

Metallica. They're not the most technically proficient (see: fastest), and have many shortcomings, but for some reason, what they do WORKS.

I couldn't choose honestly, too many bands, too many genres, too much variation. I don't see how anyone really could have a favourite, unless they only listen to a small range of music.
