> victor wooten- for sheer skill and his all-around activeness, both musically and physically on stage- always worth the ticket admission.

> abraham laboriel- he is SO animated when he plays it is just something you have to see!

>rocco prestia- doesn't strut/bounce all over the stage like a circus clown, but he chills back there in this cool, collected kind of way behind all the horns, with his eyes slightly squinted, dropping some of the fattest basslines your ears with ever receive live!

>marcus miller- i've seen him a few times and all i can say, is if you happen to have a crowd that really gets jacked-up and "calls him out", HE WILL EXPLODE INTO A BASS FURY!!! it's that whole feedin' off the crowd energy thing,"oh you like that?........well what do you think of THIS?????!!!!!"

Billy Sheehan. You can feel the energy coming off him, he's amazing to watch and listen to, and it was ace of him to acknowledge me several times when I last saw him. He even gave me a mock "hats off" by way of reward (probably becuase I was cheering him on all night!).

Also, I'm seeing Dave LaRue on Saturday with Joe Satriani, it will be interesting to see how those guys work together!
