Unfortunately, I don't have a favorite. I like them all, from Finding My Way (the first song on Rush) to We Hold On (the last song on Snakes and Arrows).

Actually, not just for bass, but for all three of them; listen to the breakdown during Alex's solo in Freewill. In my mind, that's them in their prime, simply majestic.

Roll the Bones, New World Man, and Freewill are my current favorites. But they are all good. Oh yeah, Lessons is a good one too.

Cygnus X-1's opening riff is AWESOME. The tone that Geddy could extract from that Ric on that song was the reason I started playing bass. By-Tor and the Snowdog, Hemispheres, La Villa Strangiato, Subdivisions... Most of Geddy's basslines are great, I just can't choose a favorite.

I debated on saying that one for just that reason. It's perfection to me.

Gotta mention The Analog Kid also, it's too damned fun to play not to mention it.

YYZ. Oh, great - now I'm going to have to look up their Live in Rio video and listen to / watch it again!

Wow, this is not easy! Natural Science, Vital Signs and Xanadu were big inspirations in my first years of learning to play but, there is so much emotion in all of his bass lines.
