Which bassist has your favorite tone. My personal favorite is probably Matt Malley of Counting Crows. I thought his tone on This Desert Life was amazing. So who's tone do you want?

Dan Brigg's tone on The Great Misdirect is soooo good. Live his tiny 10" speakers kind of fart out a bit or something. I hope I can get a similar sound to his studio work.

Janek sure does have a sweet tone. I love Bona's as well. I've tried and tried to sound like them with no luck, but then again that's not a bad thing. I admire peoples tone but I want to sound like ME, not someone else.

Ty Zamora. Fills all the sonic gaps bass should and manages to be present in a song

I did always think he was a tad underrated.

Yeah, I like that tone, too. It's the tone I strive for in my own P-Bass.

Here are mine:

P-Bass: Geezer Butler, John Wetton, John Entwistle, Phil Lynott, Steve Harris, John Deacon, and Roger Waters(not the best bassist, but sick tone.)

Ricky:Mke Rutherford, McCarsomething(Kinda unknown, but I like him), Geddy Lee and Roger Glover.

J-Bass: Frank Bello and JPJ.

Thunderbird: Martin Turner and Entwistle.

That's all I can think of currently.
