Favourite female bassist

I want to know who your favourite female bassists are. they can be from any decade just say who and why. I'll start off by saying my favourite is Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads) because she is so good at creating riffs that really fit the songs. Well i have said mine now who is yours and why. If you want include a picture.

yep, Tina Weymouth ... she grooves!

Also, Rhonda Smith deserves honorable mention.

And then there's this awesome woman, Shannon Woods, who is playing with Angie Aparo now.

Oh...damn near all of them

My favorite that I've seen in person was the bassist with a funky name from the English group MT-TV

She had a fretless steinberger....and she tore it UP!

Hot band....but man, their looks decieved you into thinking they wouldn't be a real band....man they were talented.

They used to go by a different name and apparently only recently changed to MT-TV. I highly recommend them.

And I'm a sucker for an accent....

but I'm even more of a sucker for a female who can tear apart a steiny like that...whew...
