A few questions

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm not too "hip" on the kid's bands these days, but I heard a Fall Out Boy song on the radio a few nights ago. What do you all think of Pete Wentz as a bassist? On a similar note, how about Mark Hoppus?

Another thing; Gene Simmons: over or under rated?

One more thing: Did Geddy Lee use his Ric on Moving Pictures?

Thanks!

P.S. What kind of pedals does the guy from Muse use? What's a cheap way to get that sound?

You forgot to ask what Motown songs Carol Kaye played on.

Hoppus does some clever stuff. Not entirely my style, but he uses his instrument creatively to make music that a lot of people dig.

What socks are the best for metal? If I change them right before gig will it affect my tone?

Personally, I'd like to know what's better: pick or fingers?
And, how high/low should I wear my bass?

What's the best bass for "2-Step-Garage-Afrobeat -Aleatoric-Anti-folk-Avant-punk" ballads?

^ +1 The icing on the cake is that OP has been a member since 2001.

This is a pretty good thread - but what I really want to know is: Which aftermarket bridge will make my SX better than a MIM Fender? BAII? And which color pick guard should I put on it?
