i cant think of a worse choice for a bassist than flea for this. ronnie needs to go back into rehab and sober up before they make this decision. i love the faces but wouldnt even think of paying for a ticket if flea was the bassist.

better bass players for this band:

bill wyman-why not have a big name player who at least fits the bill.

rick price-see above

me-i know every faces tune out there

pino pallidino-who i cant stand but i like him better than flea-bag

Flea is an all around amazing bassist. I think he would fill in great. It's always great to play out of your box. And RHCP kick ass! I don't know what you're talking about.

Flea is extremely versatile and musical. I would trust him to play in any genre.

Flea and the Faces? That has got to be one of the most random pairings I've heard of. I doubt it's true. Funny though.

If you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all.

Like Step said, this ain't happening:

From the BBC:

Rod Stewart has denied reports that his old band Faces are reuniting for a comeback tour later this year.

Stewart's spokesperson told US music industry weekly Billboard "there are no plans for a Faces tour this year".

In July, Faces keyboard player Ian McLagan told the BBC they were considering a reunion.

It has also been reported Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers would join the group. But the bassist told Billboard he "knows nothing" of a Faces tour.

Speaking to 6 Music, McLagan said: "We're hoping to get together later this year to play and then we may have some news, but I want it to happen, badly.

He admitted that Stewart had been t he only member uncertain about reforming.

Faces reunion? Yawn.

Call me when Rod gets back together with Jeff Beck. THAT would be good news!

When I saw Jeff Beck with Terry Bozzio and Pino Palladino, I forgot all about Rod Stewart!

I don't hate em. They put out some decent music. Just not recently as In, "This century" recently.

The first anti Pino comment I've read here, well I guess we can't all like him (although I can't see what's not to like) and each to their own, etc.

With Rod Stewart saying that it isn't happening you can almost bet that it is.

I must admit I thought Flea would be an odd choice, but I'm sure he'd do a good job and not make it all about him.

I 'm sure Flea will be fine, not the best image match for them, but does get a lot of younger fans on board. Like or not Flea is a great bass player and would fill his roll.

I just hope it's not like the Yardbirds reunion, which was just OK.

Bill Wyman, Trevor Bolder, Andy Fraser would all be better choices IMO.
