Flea's bass and equipment on The RHCP?

Sign in to disble this ad
What bass and equipment did Flea use on the RHCP album and especially in 'True men don't kill coyotes'? I tried the search option but no cigar. BTW, I just dig that song. Does anyone else?

Also used P's back in the early days. Probably a spector though on the recording.

he uses a spector ns, musicman stingrays and sterlings, a couple of his modulus signatures, and his original 1962 jazz bass (with original set of flatwounds).

his rig is all gallien-krueger: 3 410rbh cabs, 3 115rbh cabs, and a 2001rh head.

He used a MusicMan Cutlass for the first two albums. As for amps, it might be GK or Trace Elliot. I'm also a big fan of the early chili pepper stuff.

Well if we're going for the complete list of basses he has used, don't forget Wal and Alembic (his two best tones imo!)

its a stingray as he was one of there sponsored artists i think? but im not sure when he got his 1960? jazz bass? i think that was after califorication, im sure he used that for most studio stuff after he got it?

i think it was pretty much his stingray in the studio tho for the early stuff that is.
