FoW were on Jimmy Fallon and also David Letterman recently, Fallon link here

I really like the way Adam Schlesinger plays that bass.

Anybody know what make/model it is? The body looks like a Gibson Les Paul, but I haven't seen that in a bass. Also was wondering if this is a short-scale bass.

Thanks,

D

It's a Gretsch. I think it's 34" scale but it could be 32" It looks longer than 30"

Just saw the band live last night. Schlesinger is a really good bass player. He played through the classic SVT/8x10 rig. For the first part of the set, he played a Squier Jazz bass. For the second part, he played a Gretsch. I thought the Squier sounded a little bit better.

He wasn't in the one-sees he just wrote the song.
I saw them last week in Pittsburgh and got up on the stage to play "Hey Julie" with them for the second time. I think he was using the Jazz bass to play the older songs, and his Gretsch for the newer stuff. I've been to their show 5 times now, and the most recent was the only time Ive ever seen the Jazz. Awesome show any way you look at it.

That's me third from the right. Tall guy next to two shorter ladies. I walked on stage and Adam Schlesinger asked me "How I have been doing" and that is was good to see me.
Super nice guys.
E.
