Boston - Smokin-live late 70's ? - YouTube

Resurrected yet again. I found this thread in a google search for Fran Sheehan.

I guess he can't play anymore, after severely injuring his hand in a biking accident. I found that info one of the Boston related websites. Sad. He was a very good player.

On the Tom Scholz bass issue: His bass lines were a good part of my inspiration to play music, all those years ago. Regardless of what anyone might think of Tom's personality, the music he wrote and the guitar sounds he created with his home built boxes were incredible. I think I was 10 years old when I first heard Boston. I still love the music to this day.

In my cover band days, lo' those many years ago, we played a lot of Boston (yes, some vocalists we went through were way better than others) and though I never found the bass lines all that tough they were PERFECT for the songs. He was a real pro player and Boston tunes always had GREAT bass lines lines.
