In this thread, I wanna have a small chat about Franck Hermanny. He is the bass player from Adagio. Franck Hermanny is in my opion, one of the best technical bassists out there.
Now with technical, I mean primairly the techniques he's using : Alternate thumb picking, bass sweeping, multi-finger picking, slapping, tapping and some flamenco-like strumming now and then. He plays 6 string basses exclusively.
I really think it's a shame that he is not well known, same for the band he plays in.. Their music can be discribed as progressive metal / neo-classical metal / symphonic metal, with some death-grunts here and there by their guitarist : Stephan Forté.
