Hey, I'm pretty sure this belongs here. Anyway, I was listening to 'A Skeleton in the Closet' by Anthrax today, and was wondering, is there really anybody with a faster right hand? I know that there's always someone faster and such, but I've never heard a bassist play that fast. Also, does anyone know if he uses 2 or 3 fingers? Thanks

I always though Frank used a pick on that song..

I really dig Anthrax's music, and I don't think it would be complete without Frank.

For fast fingerstyle playing - Billy Sheehan
For fast pickstyle, check out Joey DeMaio of Manowar.. stuff like Thunderpick, Guyana, and Sting of the Bumblebee.

I definitely have seen Frank Bello use a pick (not that it makes him any less of a player). Can't think of what songs in particular, but I used to listen to Anthrax alot.

Got the Time was played with a pick and I agree...he's fast, fluent and has great stamina.

I have to say- he's got a good style and a few good riffs (Caught In A Mosh is alot of fun to play for one) and I do like his new Fender bass...

I have the "early" anthrax video "oedivnikufesin", and, there is sometime since last time i saw it, but what i remember is that he used his fingers all the way..

Very nice bass player, Alot better than most Metal bassists.

Great to see some love for Frank. He was my favorite during my metal period. I liked him because he played fingerstyle yet that tone just cut through the mighty Scott Ian's guitar sound.
