Franz Ferdinand

I was surfing the channels the other night and came on a concert by a group called Franz Ferdinand. I've never heard them before, but thought I'd give them a listen. I have to say, there is hope for music yet. Very tight arrangements, nice change-ups, and best of all, a very up-front bass line. Bought their first album off of I Tunes and was very impressed. If you want to listen to some great tunes (and some very impressive bass lines), try this out!

They're good. I listened to their first two albums religiously during my junior year of high school. They're catchy, but I feel kind of like a homo for listening to them. They're embarrassingly poppy, in my ears.

But to each their own.

No, sorry but no link, but it was on HDNET. I just subscribed to the HD channels, and HDNET seems to have alot of live concerts. And OneMoreRobot, the first album came out in 2004, and you were a junior in high school? My god, I suddenly got old!

the bassist, Bob Hardy, is quite good. I like his bassline to No You Girls a lot:

My band covers "Take Me Out" which usually goes over well.

Agreed.

Not a huge fan of the band but this Hardy fellow has a nice up front tone and some interesting lines.

One of my bands does the No You Girls tune. It is fun to play.
