just brosing on nme.com and came upon this
...yes thats right....a supergroup consisting of three bassists from thre grat british bands: The Smiths, New Order/Joy Division, Stone Roses...
i am incredibly excited at this idea, a band of three bassists, but not just the super jam that many of us have seen, but a full-on fulltime band, that will also unoubtedly recieve alot of press....exciting stuff.

To be honest, this doesn't sound that promising to me :

"Mani does the low part, Andy Rourke in the middle and I do the high bit. "

Sounds like the perfect recipe for : MUD !!

it's better than saying:
"mani does the low part, Andy Rourke adds some more lows, and i play the high bit along with an octave down effect"
we'll have to wait and see i guess.

I don't think it matters how you explain it - it's how it will sound that I'm talking about!!

They're looking for a vocalist:

"I think the problem is that the three of us have such a pedigree of vocalist, that if we come out with someone that’s not good we’ll obviously be slated!

You've got Ian Brown, bloody Bobby Gillespie, Ian Curtis, Bernard (Sumner) and Morrissey."

Wanted: Tone-deaf drug-addled miserablist. Must have own gladioli.
