of course they aren't a band... I don't think that the singer even plays any of his guitars if you watch.

but that bass in the picture is pretty sweet, loving the neck and inlays

I love the bass in that picture/commericial.....looks like a Fender MIA '75 RI Jazz in ash/rosewood. Every time that commerical comes on, I say to my wife "I WANT that bass". She just rolls her eyes by now.....

what I love is that you NEVER seen that dude without an instrument in his hands. he's the only one. the other guys are often doing other things.

Ever consider that all the instruments are props that are supplied to the musicians?

not for a second. this is real life, and these guys are a band who sings about how not asking for a credit report once a year will lead to financial ruin.

Trust me, what they're getting for being in a national ad campaign is keeping them far from financial ruin

then even if they have bad credit, they should be able to afford a phone.
or at least a GC card to get some of that gear.

so wait, you're saying that they're really not broke and not forced to wear goofy outfits and work at the renaissance fair because they didn't get their free yearly credit report?

btw, what the hell does getting a credit report have to do with being so broke they have to work at the renaissance fair? all a credit report does is tell you what your credit score is. it's not a predictor of success or failure.

I think they're broke b/c someone stole their identity and ruined their credit. Now they can't buy a car or get a cell phone. If they'd only paid the $12.50 a month for the "free" credit report, the whole thing could have been avoided.

I will say that I hate/like/hate/like those commercials...the jingle always get stuck in my head. And he does have good gear. And for some reason I always think of Guster.

i bet they just give them the gear just to use for the commercial... none of it probably even really belongs to them.

Next time you see that commercial with that gold jazz, take a good listen and tell me that bass track doesn't scream P bass.
