I was listening to Herbie Hancock's 1980 album Mr Hands the other day, and when the song 'Just Around The Corner' came up I ran for the cover to get the credits of the bassist, and it was Freddie. Great muscular groove on a slapped p-bass, he's another guy that has been at the top of his game for a very long time. I couldn't find a youtube link for the song, but it kills.
