He's the bassist, and I was surprised at how good he was--he's the real deal as a bass player and I was pretty impressed. He played a Cort artisan bass through an SWR SM-900/Megalith cab. They do USO tours on the bases, and this was their third trip to 29 Palms. They particularly rocked through Baba O'Reilly and Sweet Home Chicago.
Check them out if you get a chance.

Good for him.

Good for him. | I saw that episode as well, he looked like he was 'acting' on bass. I thought the same.
Talking about actor musicians... Steven Segal is touring the UK with his band...... |

| | | | Kinda funny..he just played a concert here today at the Pentagon --where I work--thought id see if there were any threads here about him..sure enough. He does play very well..nicely in the pocket. Sound man sucked though could barely hear him..they had a arena style stage and PA and all you could really hear in the mix was the drums and vocals..you'd think it being "Gary Sinese Lt Dan Band" he'd be prominent in the mix..oh well. Didnt surprise me he was good though many actors dabble in the other art mediums. |

We both served near the same small town in 'Nam (Pleiku), although we didn't know each other at the time. I often call him "Lieutenant Dan". At a recent practice, he showed me a handbill his wife had picked up for him. It was advertising an appearance by Gary Sinise's "Lieutenant Dan Band". We got a kick out of it, although I had to get a little dig in. I told him that the "other" Lieutenant Dan was cooler, because he's a bass player.
