Geddy Lee pick ripoff?

Sign in to disble this ad
Unless I am completely wrong and my eyes have decieved me since I started seeing Rush live in 1981, Geddy Lee has never used a pick.

Soooooo... how "official" are these items? Keep in mind that the Neil Peart branded drum sticks out there are generally really his licenced products.

Is this just a scam or a shameless Geddy cash grab? I would guess the former.

Well, I know he used to play a doubleneck with a guitar on it, so maybe he used the picks on that guitar?

I don't believe he ever used a pick on bass, though.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the pick from the second link came from the special edition of the R30 DVD. I thought I remembered hearing something about Geddy and Alex picks being included in it, anyway.

Yep, it's true (I have the deluxe R30).

I'm pretty sure Geddy doesn't even use a pick on the double neck back in the 70's. Heck, he doesn't even use a pick when he's playing "Resist" on acoustic geetar these days.

I was just wondering about this the other day when I had my R30 DVD out...you get a signed pick off Geddy, and yet he's a fingerstyle guy!
