I've read in quite a few places that Geddy Lee played a P-bass on the first Rush album.

But has he used a P at any other time, or on any other tracks?

The growling noises on "By&Tor & The Snow Dog" were done with it and according to some, "Lakeside Park" was played on it.

Thanks PhR!

I went back and listened to 'Lakeside Park' - certainly has a different tone for the Ric on the rest of the 'Caress' album....could well be the P!

nah he used a ric on that cd. I saw an interview somewhere (one of their dvds i think) that states as soon as they got signed he went and bought his Ric, and used it on the first cd.

When Mercury signed them. The first album was released on Moon records.

They got their advance on Geddy's 21st birthday and went out to buy stuff. Geddy got his Rickenbacker, Neil Peart a new doublekit and Alex bought some Marshalls and a Les Paul Deluxe.
