How about Neil's quip about not seeing Stephen's autographed hand on eBay? Priceless! I imagine you have to pay close attention to Mr. Peart to pick up on his jokes. Droll, dry, very funny!
Stephen Colbert is great! Not only does he have nads of brass (roasting the pres. [lower case "p" intended] and his entire cabinet to their faces, unabridged and no punches pulled = supernads!) - but he also clearly has great taste in music! Just when I think he can't go higher, up he goes!
I love how unpretentious the guys in Rush are. They seem to be very genuine and down to earth which is very refreshing. There was a boatload of humor, talent and intelligence on the Colbert stage for sure!

They're accustomed to playing huge arenas and stadiums and here they are in a little studio with 200 people, not all of whom are neccessarily Rush fans, so it's bound to throw them off a bit. TV appearances just aren't their thing, Colbert must have really pulled some strings to get them.

while watching the re-run, i was thinking, "i wonder how many 'fans' are nitpicking every wrong note and sound right now."
i found it hilarious that Rush is now the victim of the one thing they taught us - how to be excellent and thoughtful musicians.
