Just saw the one and only video so far of the show in NM last night. It was mostly of the opening video lead-in with a few moments of The Spirit of Radio, but Ged's bass tone is noticeably different than on previous tours, sounds much more like his Permanent Waves tone...me like so far, need to see/hear more.
Hopefully there will be more vids throught the next few days of the first few shows. |

Although his tone on this vid and YYZ tend to sound more "metallic" than on the SoR video I referred to in my above post...no way to tell for sure till I'm there on 7/24. |

Can't wait! | I am pushing 42 myself and will be taking my 9 year old son with me to see them 7/24...his third Rush concert...very cool that our next generation is into them also. That says a lot about them. |

His tone sounds terrific...thanks to Amps again and less overdrive from what I can detect. |

No kidding... I am so tempted to look up the setlist no way I can hold out for two more months! |

This is the first time they had foldback monitors on stage in quite a while too. At least, they didn't have them when I saw the Snakes and Arrows Tour.
Going to see them at Summerfest this Saturday - should be alot of fun. That opening video is funnier than hell, definitely funnier than the S&A Tour videos, which were odd at best.

Shame Geddy's struggling with the high notes in Camera Eye though - why didn't they drop the tuning like they did with 2112?
Disclaimer: I love Rush.

I have almost no way of getting out of work (school starts 2 days before and there is no "official" leave granted for the first week) and the drive is 5 hours one way. I'd have to "be out of the office on business" the entire afternoon on Friday.
