Geezer Butler's tone.

I got it. After three years, I can sound exactly like him.

Pick near/on the neck
Warwick Corvette, neck pickup, tone all the way up (treble)
Hartke HA3500, boosted low mids
2 Hartke transporter 4X10s

I've seen a few threads about this over the years, so I figured I'd put this out there for anyone else. It really sounds EXACTLY like Geezer on War Pigs. I almost crapped my pants.

wow, I'm in luck, that's my exact setup.

I agree about the neck pup on the warwick - such a fat tone. love it - very P-bass, for a non-P-bass-bass.

The early Sabbath had the definitive bass tone of the times. I would not change those recordings for anything. The tone I am trying to replicate is of the Heaven and Hell era. Blast Neon Knights and watch your beer foam up right out of its glass---AMAZING!!!
