OK..Finally found this thread...
Glad you still have the house gig going. Seems like we never get top Roswell at the right time.
I used to be in a jazz combo with Roswell resident, Billy Davidow, who owns Atlanta Grand Pianos.. phenominal improvisor ..thorough knowledge of chord voicing..amazing musician and great guy..
Looks like some more activity on our other thread as well.
Are we getting numbers on this one as well? If so.. please # me acordingly..I will proudly accept...
Are there two Georgia Bassist Clubs? I'm a member of the one over in Miscellaneous. If this one is different, sign me up. Is the Roswell thing a regular gig? If so, I will try to make it out to see you.
Evidently so....Glad we have the one in misc..and if we have 2..maybe we can snag/net a few more locals.?
Georgiagoodie has extended an open invitation for some months..a very generous offer as well.
Hearing about an open jam at Motorheads [ McDonough, Ga] in December..date..?? 12/10?? owners b-day.
Hey georgiagoodie, let us know next time you are playing. You aren't tonight are you? I want to come out, but it seems I have work every time you guys have a gig. Hope to come out one day!
We won't be playing the regular Spiced Right BBQ gig in Roswell until February.
I started a Georgia Bassists page here in "Bassists", as that is where all the other local clubs are located. 'Thought it would be more consistent.
Hey, I just scored an '82 Peavey T-40 (black/maple) at Atlanta Bass Gallery. It is in excellent shape! Arched top! The bass has TONE!. Also, has CRAY-CRAY amount of tone variations with the cool electronics. I am learning how to manipulate it. It IS of substantial mass, however.
Hey Goodie, that's awesome! I don't have a T-40 anymore, but they sure are awesome basses, if not boat anchors. Seems like a great bass for a blues band.
