Question Gerry McAvoy anyone?

Just wanna know everyone's thoughts on Gerry McAvoy and Phil Lynott. To me, 2 pick players that have stood out to me (which is big since picks feel so unnatural to me)

Lots of love for Gerry McAvoy/Rory Gallagher! Kinda like a British Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, only 13 years earlier.

Cool... I have the "1974 Irish Tour" in my car's CD changer right now. Been listening to it for a couple weeks. RIP, Rory.

He's great...

...and I really love playing this kind of blues bass. It's pretty much the whole reason I took up the instrument.

No slouch either:

Rory Gallagher - Bullfrog Blues - OGWT about 2:30.

He's currently "Ridin' Shotgun" with Nine Below Zero, ably assisted by Rory's old drummer Brendan O'Neill. What a kicking rhythm section that is!

Nine Below Zero: Walking By Myself

Usually plays fingerstyle on an old & battered black Stingray these days:

Nine Below Zero - Shake Your Hips

Love Gerry! Love all Rory, as well. Richard McCracken played some good stuff with Taste. What a criminally over-looked band. They were like an Irish Led Zeppelin, but jazzy as well. Too bad they had management issues and broke up right after their biggest gig, the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival.
