I normally play standard rock stuff. I mess around with a lot of RHCP and Maiden. I need some fingerstyle funk stuff. I can play fast but I wanna play groovy. Thanks for the recomendations fella's.

The Chicken by Jaco. It was written by James Brown's sax player. The opening figure is funky funky fun-key! I play mostly reggae, but have recently started getting down with the Chicken!

Check out Tower of Power. Francis Rocco Prestia is The Man when it comes to fast, fingerstyle, funk.

I would also check out anything by Jamiroquai. There's a bit of slap in there, but there's a lot of fast finger funkiness. What is it about that band? They get the most amazing bass players!
