Givin' Kira Roessler some more props...

I hooked up my turntable a few weeks ago and got to some of my old Black Flag stuff. Listening to the live "Who's Got The 10 1/2?" and remembered how amazing a bassist Kira Roessler is. She was light years ahead of a lot of the other punk bassists back then. She definitely deserves more props than the got or gets.

That is all.

Old school American punk bands usually had pretty good bass players! The guy in Black Flag before Kira rocked, Dead Kennedys, The Minutemen, Bad Brains, Fear, all had rockin' bass players.

Ha! Just got The Process of Weeding Out on cd today (my vinyl is long gone). Can't think of any band that sounds quite like them on that album. Some pretty sick lines on that one.

That's probably why Kira and Mike got married, Dave: To breed SUPER punk bass players! Muhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa. Too bad the plan fell apart.;-)
