Anyone caught any tv footage? Any stand out bass playing took you by surprise?
And who was that with Paul Simon. Awesome player... |

The BBC really disappoints me with their festival coverage, from the crappy sound (though last year was great, IIRC) to the inane presenters who know nothing, have nothing to say, and spend too much time saying it.
+1 on PS's bassist, don't know who he is, though, sorry. |

Agree about coverage. Even Mark Radcliffe has adopted a more sycophantic approach to rival his no-mark sidekick Jo Whiley. |

Shame he only played the old Washburn fretless for one tune, he used his custom fretted Elrick for most of the set, including the famous bass break in You Can Call Me Al. Still sounded good though.
I didn't watch all that much from Glasto this year, but another standout guy was Plan B's bassist - very groovy. |

In fact, I tried to find a complete list of bands that played there this year and couldn't even find one. Of course, I'm aware of some of the main ones since they were in the news. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
