I guess I have to start the first Glenn Hughes thread.
This guy is a great rock bassist and can sing pretty damn good
too! He has to be about late 50's...about my age.
He has a new band with some young guys.
Black Country...

He's been quite prominent in the Bass mags the last few years with his signature bass and more recently the new super expensive Yamahas but all the photos with BCC he's using a good old P bass.

| | | | Good stuff. Look at the lineup.
Black Country Communion is an English-American rock supergroup featuring Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham, Derek Sherinian, and Joe Bonamassa. |

I've had the good fortune to see him live a few times. Plus my old band also opened for Pat Travers in 1990 & Glenn came out & sang "Stevie" with Pat. Amazing.
And I also interviewed him for a music website I'm involved with a couple of years ago.
A great guy who can still bring it. Phenomenal singer & really underrated bassist.
And a big +1 on the stuff with Iommi.
Also check out his Soulfully Live From The City Of Angels CD/DVD. Good stuff.

I totally copped his bass line in Young Lust at a gig this past weekend. Think I'm going to make that permanent. Hell, I even copped his screams in the guitar solo.

Soon as I heard the opening track with knarly bass tone and the singer's voice I had to find out about this Glenn Hughes guy. Amazing stuff.
