I love this guy's playing, I know Eric Czar isn't playing bass for him anymore (shame..). Anybody know who the new bassist is? It will be an awesome show for sure!

I do miss Eric Czar (saw him twice a couple years ago, opening for B.B. King  ), but the new guy is a great player. Super good groove and some hot solo licks too. Don't remember his name, but he played a 5-string Sadowsky most of the show, and sounded killer! And Joe is amazing as always. 
And Eric Czar is off doing his own solo project now, playing 6 and 7-string bass. Check out his myspace page, awesome sounding stuff

So this is a plug for Joe. If you like power blues, go check this guy out. Mark Epstein is the guy on bass, he has a book out and has done lots of studio work, touring with other artists', etc.. Some really good basslines and he did have some good solo chops as mentioned by another person in this thread. I did really like Eric Czar better because he really like to step outside the lines IMO (throw in some slap and tap, fast runs, etc) and it kept things pretty interesting. Nothing wrong with the good old blues basslines and Mark Epstein was very good. I would say a real mature bassist who kept all the fundamentals in place at all times. Worth seeing, check them out if you have a chance.
