After that, I would say that Pino Palladino and Tony Levin come to mind.
I am sure other people know tons of good fretless players...

Perfect fretless because he doesn't always sound like he's playing fretless. His intonation is in control so you only know it's fretless because of the tone and when he wants to play in-between tones.

If you can find a copy of "Waking Hour" by Dali's Car (basically, Karn with Peter Murphy), get it... and if you're a fretless player try to figure out how to play the song "His Box." I guarantee that will keep you busy for a good long while.
