Yeah he is, and he's good, too. The stuff is simple, but it drives the songs well. Good bass-heavy music.

Flapping big ears.
Beyond count of years
I stump round and round,
Never lie on the ground,
Not even to die.
Oliphaunt am I,
Biggest of all,
Huge, old, and tall.
If ever you'd met me
You wouldn't forget me.
If you never do,
You won't think I'm true;
But old Oliphaunt am I,
And I never lie.

And I think it's Jamey somethingorother that does all the cartoons. He does the Tank Girl comics as well.

Here's an excerpt..
--What exactly was your involvement?
Tina did some of her Tom Tom Club style harmonies and I played some nutty
bongos (is there any other kind?).
--Did you enjoy your involvement?
Absolutely!
--Did you get to work face to face with the other musicians involved?
No, Dan and Damon were in a studio somewhere in Jamaica and sent us a DAT to
work from. We did our parts at our own studio, The Clubhouse, in Cock Island,
Connecticut, USA. |

I like the concept of a 'cartoon band'. Many bands have made concept albums, but the Gorillaz took it a step further.
