Thumbs up Gov't Mule

Just saw Gov't Mule at the Warfield last night. Easily the best show of my life. They played for about about 4 hours. I was incredibly impressed with their bassist, Jorgen Carlsson. His playing was dead on and his rig was massively spectacular. He had two Ampeg 8x10 stacks, one with an SVT-VR head and the other with a Marshall head. Also, Dave Schools from Widespread Panic joined in for a few songs that night. He also sounded great. Just wanted to get the word out of the Mule and the low end behind them

I saw them about a month ago.
Was he using the P-bass and the Thunderbird?
Great tone out of both axes I thought.

Yeah, he was. He favored the P though. Only used the T bird for a few songs.

I'm a huge Gov't Mule fan and would love to see them. "Live...With a Little Help From Our Friends" kicks ass.

"Live from the Roseland Ballroom" is my fav. It's an early disc with Allen Woody where Govt. Mule is a power trio.

Caught the Mule back in July in Raleigh. Great show right in the middle of the street there in front of the Lincoln Theatre. They tore it up, man. I remember the bass player being right on.

The Mule continues to pin everybody's ears back. (or mow them down)
