This guy is amazing. He doesn't noodle, he doesn't slap, he doesn't do solos (that I can recal), but he stands out. He's creative and professional.
It turns out in his days as a session player he did some work w/ Britney Spears................yes, I'm serious.
I was reading an article on Mule that said Gov't Mule is the favorite rock band of many famous rock stars including James Hetfield and Henry Rollins.
Also, I should point out that Warren Haynes is God. His coolness is note-worthy.

he does do solo's and this one is bad ass IMO

| Don't get to excited. It was for only one song, and he didn't even met her....He also played with John Schofield, the Black Crows ect....
Anyway, He is one of my favorite Bassist.
there is another thread or two around here too...Do a search on Andy Hess.
