So, I have Grover Jr.'s "Ultimate Collection" CD. The album is filled with the funkiest and smoothest bass lines from the '70s. I know young Marcus Miller played on "Just the two of us." But the rest of the songs seem to have nothing but P-Bass in them.
Anybody know who played on this albums? This particular album is a compilation, so I guess I'm referring to several of his '70s albums.
Anthony Jackson?
I googgled it up, but couldn't find anything.
Thanks. |

Grover's records always had sweet bass grooves on them. +1, on James Hart's Live At The Bijou recommendation, I wore that album out learning and playing Tyrone Brown's grooves in the 70's......Lock It In The Pocket anyone.

Marcus Miller, Gary King, Tyrone Brown, Ron Carter, Louis Johnson, and Cedric A. Napoleon.
I know Gary was on Mister Magic and Black Frost. |

Good to know. | No reason to be afraid to admit it... just take notes I keep a text document on my desktop and whenever someone or some band is mentioned that I don't know in context to stuff I do dig... I copy/paste it to that file. I think I could buy a disc a day till the end of my days and never run out of new music |

Definitely Definitely worth buying....
