Guess who i met in the audience at my gig tonight!

Sign in to disble this ad
I was playing a gig at Mandalay Bay tonight- a latin jazz/funk thing- i look up during the first set and there is standing in front of the stage- Victor Wooten!!
man, i was floored- he checked out the whole set, including my feeble solos- and then i humbly walked over and he treated me like he knew me for years- what a great ,, cool thing to have happen- a great, warm human being- a real pleasure- it made my night- i thought i'd share- peace, all- Adrian

Sheesh man...I'm impressed that you completed the gig. I would've soiled my britches and immediately flubbed the next note. Gosh...I think I would rather not see him there until after the gig was over. Then I'd hide in shame when I realized that the man that I've ripped off more than anyone had just caught me red-handed.

Reminds me of Marcus Miller talking about the first time he ever played a set in front of Stanley Clarke.

Whoa. That is very cool.

Adrian, I am going to veer way off topic, but have you been to that new Ed Roman store in Vegas? It looks huge.

That's incredible.
It's like half of the world has met Victor Wooten.
Is he a concert whore or something ?

What's even more incredible is that each and every people say he's a very nice person.

I guess there must be truth in this.

Quite an honor, Adrian. Did you get any personal pics of you with him for your scrapbook???

I'm glad he was digging your funk and getting away from that Bela Fleck banjo mindlessness.

He's a great guy. I met him and his tech Anthony Wellington(great player himself) and spent time with them at there show in San Fran a while back. They treated me like I was an old friend

Why does it figure that Ed Roman would put his store in America's capital of tawdry, misogynistic entertainment?
