I had no idea how to play a supporting bass line to what he was playing. It blew my mind. Jauqo was able to pull it off during his clinc. How I do not know. And yes, thats what looks to be a parts jazz bass with an epoxied ebony or rosewood lined fingerboard and a pearloid pickguard. He also seems to have it tuned lower (maybe BEAD) and hes got a capo and a cloth or towel muting as well.
