This guy needs an endorsement

MarloweDK.

You all know him. I think it would be brilliant to give this guy some endorsements. Between his youtube account and his own website, think about how many people he reaches. Give him a free bass and it will probably be seen by thousands of people in his instructional videos. I've seen endorsee lists for some bass manufacturers and I'm like "who the hell is that guy and why is he holding the bass around his knees?" Most of those guys care about their spiky hair styles than their playing. This guy is the real deal, not some poser. And he can play like a mofo.

Someone in marketing needs to be thinking. Think out of the box, why do all endorsees have to have record deals? Visibility is a key element in this day and age.

Rant done.

I agree, Marlowe is awesome. OTOH, he may not desire an endorsement.

MarloweDK strikes me as pretty savy. He may already have some endorsements. If not, I'm pretty sure he could get a few.

Hmm, really? Cool, thats good for him.

Marlowe strikes me as a "TimmyC" type guy, where he doesnt want to be endorsed, but it could be the exact opposite.

Still one of my heroes, and he looks just like my dad.. Its scary.

Yup, TC Electronic seems to understand the power of online communities. They have a Facebook account for example.

It's foolish to underestimate the power of forums like this. Seriously, how much have you spent based on GAS generated by viewing this site? I can tell you that I just bought an amp and 3 basses in the last few months based on the influence of this site. Magazine ads don't reach out to the masses anymore. If I ran a musical instrument company, I'd hire at least one guy to spend all day surfing sites like this and determining trends before they arise. It's the companies who respond to the marketplace and its demands who will survive and thrive.

Haven't even thought about that, but it's true, you're completely right! Everytime I want a new piece of gear I go here and check what is worth buying and what isn't!
