I will see him tonight at the Keswick Theater near Philly.
A few days ago he called my Son Jon in a Panic. He left his Burner Bass in a NYC Taxi. It was in the trunk and the Car drove off with it. I got a phone call from the Tour Manager and gave him a list of people to contact along his Tour to borrow, rent or buy another Bass. I was going to bring one tonight but as of yet, have not heard from them since Thursday. My Son has been in touch but no mention yet of his Bass needs for tonight or the remaining show thru Canada.
What was he playing in DC the other night? I told them to contact Washington Music so I hope they took care of him. |

On the Bass story it turns out that another Cab driver in NY that was also a Musician convinced the Driver to turn it in for a possible reward. He had no luck selling it since all the stores were alerted beforehand. Since there was no receipt for the Cab ride, the Driver could not be ID'd. IF he did sell the Bass, then he would be in big trouble if caught. So what he did was go to the local Police station and turned it in as a lost item found in the Taxi. He was able to get a small reward and avoided getting arrested if caught selling it.
His Bass is a 1991 Burner Artist model. WE made the Burner series from 1989 thru 1998 but only made a few of the Artist models which I believe we made only till about 1995 but I will have to look that up. |
