hand-injury: need a bass w/ faster neck

Sign in to disble this ad
Long story short, I damaged a tendon in my fretting hand and it's slow-going regaining span/extension, and it may not get back to full. Can anyone recommend a bass that has a really fast neck, I mean like jazz-bass fast, but narrower even as you go up the board. I've been to GC and tried lots, but the only neck that has felt really like what I need is the Epiphone knock-off of the beatle bass. Actually short scale is not my first choice. My problem is dexterity across the strings like runnning pentatonic scales, etc. Suggestions?

The Geddy Lee Jazz plays fast.

I'm assuming you are talking small necks then some of the Ibanez SR ones are pretty fast. Also the geddy lee sig fender has a pretty tiny neck.

The most COMFORTABLE basses I've played are a G&L L-2000 and an MTD Czech Grendel. And my Zon Conchorde.
