| | | | A very happy birthday.
Larry plays what I consider to be the most perfect slap.
It is just so goooovy. Can't help but moving. (Which is exactly what it should do, imho) |

Larry Graham has so much energy, I know he's preacher, but just jamming, it's like he's giving a sermon. It was also cool to see him play "If You Want Me to Stay." I think he used some sort of pick for that song. I was struck that he never played anything with the conventional two finger method.

| | | | Larry doesn't use a pick - he uses his index finger nail as a pick. (he talks about it in the video that clip is from) |

You can't hear Larry Graham's bass very well, but it's still completely worth it just to watch how this band could MOVE. Unbelievably cool stuff. Human beings shouldn't be allowed to be this funky. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lrt2RAnOyBo
(P.S. Is that Aretha in the audience?)

I get the impression that he prefers to stay out of the glare of the floodlights....
He doesn't even keep a real website (that I'm aware of), just the GCS myspace page... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=79438661
