Of course, Victor's playing is incredible...

But it seems to me that he's becoming more of a circus sideshow. Not with his playing with the ensemble, but his (not so little) solo section. He's got all kinds of looping, and more looping...and then some more looping. Geez, Jaco was doing that stuff 30 years ago! He's also making all kinds of unnatural noises with his bass. ;-)

Victor is probably one of the most talented players out there today...both in terms of his chops and his sense of melody. His playing is generally very tasteful - and inspiring to listen to. I hope this is just a phase that he's going thru.
