Thread in question:

So, the question is this; Is it okay to start a thread about a bassist that you supposedly hate? Even if you don't know said bassist, never met them and probably don't know anyone that knows them personally? What's up with that?

I hate people claiming credit on other people's work too.

I haven't been here too long and I'm sick of the Carol Kaye topic already. Let everyone believe what they want.

Considering people have expressed their hatred or strong dislike for loads of bassists from Jaco to Jeff B to Fieldy...

I'd guess it's okay. It's not like everyone is agreeing. Of course I already know why that particular thread bothers you.

NO!

Sorry it sat so long. I was away most of the weekend and when I tried to log in when I was home briefly Sat, TB was down.

I have to back my co-mod James on this one.

We do however allow tactful critisism of why you don't like a particular bassist, but to open a thread with the intent to simply say you hate a bassist starts flame wars and is highly frowned upon.
