Heaviest song you ever heard

No, I'm not talking cookie monster vocals or constant double bass drumming. I'm talking slow, monolithic sludgy crushing songs. Hit me with the heaviest ones you know, preferably with great powerful bass lines.

What if I like the cookie monster? What if I find that heavy? Does it automatically not count based on YOUR opinion?

You say "slow, monolithic sludgy crushing songs" and this is what I think of:
Nihility by Black Sheep Wall

My first was Slipknot Heretic Anthem

But, the HEAVIEST song I ever heard (and still it stands up) Gor Gor by GWAR but, then again anything by them is good.

Maybe it had something to do with the time and circumstances (my basement, 15 years old, well over 30 years ago) that I first heard it, but I've still never heard anything heavier than 'Sister Ray' by the Velvet Underground.

In the tragic case of never having heard it, don't click on it now: wait until you can experience it at crushingly high SPL, preferably with a prior attitude adjustment. There are some killer bootleg live versions on Youtube as well.

edited to add: I Heard her Call My Name' fro the same album is pretty up there, too.

An open ended question until the OP specified Doom. Black Sheep Wall get a second vote from me great album. Just about anything off Dopethrone.

Id check out 'When Humanity is Cancer' by Anaal Nathrakh for the start, it gets fast but might like the slow riff, epic song I hope to be seeing live tonight.

Soon as these threads appear I forget all my music ^ ^

Mouth for War - Pantera

This is the basis for all the wanna be nu metal we've been subjected to for the past 20 years. Often imitated, never duplicated. This is what I'm walking into the octagon with.
