Any reggae fans listen to St Croix roots reggae band Midnite? If you can get your hands on the album Unpolished, I recomend it for a listen to some of the heaviest, laid-back, locked-in grooves. I was recently told the name of the bass player, and curious to see who else has heard the sounds. He did playerd keyboards for some time in the band (he started the group with brother Vaughn Benjamin)
I haven't had the opportunity to see them perform, but they tour quite often.
