I recently saw Lyle Lovett's Large band in concert. There was an older fellow playing bass who also acted as the musical director. He had long white hair and a very long white beard. I had seen him before, years ago, on television with James Taylor. I didn't catch his name, but they introduced him as being from California. I figure that he must be known in the studios out there, because he was just great!!! I saw your web page and thought "maybe he could tell me who that was? I would like to find out more about him.
