Herbie at Carnegie hall AND...

So, just saw Herbie Hancock at carnegie hall last night. First set is with ron carter. second set is with matt garrison, then herbie breaks into chamelion and out walks marcus miller as the guest performer. wow!

Man that would of been incredible to hear. Two legends and one future legend. I knew Marcus has been doing some gigs with Herbie this summer, but didn't realize Ron Carter and Garrison were playing the same gig.

One of my favorite memories was hearing Herbie and Chick Corea when they were touring together. I can still remember the two white concert grand pianos facing each other and them going at it.

Matt Garrison is my biggest influence/favourite player at the moment.
I've been watching the Herbie Hancock 'future to future' live DVD quite a bit recently, it's well worth checking out.

I'm going to see Marcus on Saturday, he's doing a clinic at a local music shop here in Birmingham.
