Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I posted my interview here with Greg Smith of Ted Nugent awhile back and it seemed to go over well. Recently I got to "Talk Bass" (sorry for the pun, it's late) with Frank Bello of Anthrax. We talked gear, basses, warming up, shoot even baseball. Hope you guys get a kick out of it.

I loved Frank's work with Anthrax. "Got The Time" of course, was one of my favorites. Good to see him still around and staying involved with music.

Was never really influenced by or driven to play that type of music, but I really enjoyed Anthrax's run from about 87 to 91 or so with Among The Living, State Of Euphoria, and Persistence of Time. Great stuff.

Cool interview - seemed like a good dude

Thanks for checking it out guys!

Frank is very down to earth. I emailed him on a hope and prayer and sure enough he called. He's currently busy with clinics with David Ellefson (which set me up for an interview with David!) and The Big Four Tour, so I was lucky to get a few minutes with him.

He seems to still be genuinely excited to play bass and grateful of any and all fans of his music.

Thanks! Yes, props to Frank. He can get a great cutting tone with his fingers. I think I completely forgot to ask about right hand technique in my interview. wwwwhooops.
