true, and there're roundwounds on this bass which i know for a fact. great sound, live.

Am I missing something? Did Harris say that he recorded that with [insert] bass and [insert] strings with [insert] setup? It sounds great, 99% of this is his playing. You guys are too worried about particulars.

Yes you surely do. It's not Steve Harris who said it, some TB'ers suggested that that part was played on his Precision with flatwound strings and as I know for sure that he played those parts on an acoustic bass (not sure of the strings but probably bronze acoustic bass strings) I wrote this as TB is a place where we share our knowledge.
I won't argue that the magic is on his hands though, probably nobody would
