Hey Guys and Gals, looks like I won :)

Ha! I haven't signed on to my youtube in so very long but did today to find something funny. Some tool on youtube created a page "Bassists Who Suck But Can't Tell".

Pretty funny that there is such a person out there hating on bass players. I looked but didn't find any clips of that person playing anything. Creating a page like that is just bad Karma if you ask me.

I threw up a few clips some years back to share with friends. Never claimed to be anything other than a guy having fun with the bass. On my clip the tool said "We have a winner". Frankly, I'm honored

Anyhow, I saw at least one other TBer on there. Sorry, but I won buddy Hopefully, my prize is pretty nice!

Keep up the good fight folks by supporting those that are learning or new to our craft.

Much love,
Derrick
(Current Winner of Bassists Who Suck But Can't Tell)

BTW, if playing with some distortion is too much for the guy that created the "Bassists Who Suck But Cant Tell" page, he can check out my latest CD, Agents of Venus "Boduvt" to hear some pocket playing. Didn't win anything with that recording though

Ps. I'm trying not to let this new fame go to my head

I see at least 3 or 4 recognizable TB'ers on there. Not that some random's opinion means anything to me or has any validity.

Thanks UT

I may just quit bass while I'm on top and have a fire sale so I can take up a new hobby.

Skies, I saw a few more as I checked out the channel. Give my best to Seweracuse! I'm a former Rottenfester and Binghamdung Grad Student and a native of Saratoga! GO NY!

Someone clearly needs to find something better to do with his/her time. Making a youtube channel for the purpose of collecting videos by bassists one doesn't like? Nothing better to do? Really?

Bryan Tyler has been holding out on us, not telling us about this contest which he has known about for 10 months!

I was trying to keep it on the hush in hopes of winning myself

Funny thing is that I have some pieces that are much worse than the one he chose to put on that channel- I like the one he put up.

I wonder, is the name used sarcastically, or more tounge in cheek, as some of the stuff on there is excellent...
